Description: Introductory music begins to play. As title page appears displaying BrailleNote Basics, Navigation, Online Video Training Modules, Alberta Education. Narrator: To navigate in menus whether you’re in the main menu or in a submenu such as word processing, day planner, etc. the basic navigation buttons to go back and forth, to enter a menu are all the same regardless of where you’re at. There are several different ways to move forward in a menu to find the choices you want. The first option is hitting space. Another option is using your right hand thumb button, the one that’s closest to center. Another alternative is hitting dot 1 with the space bar. When you find the item you want and want to select it you would hit the enter key or on the thumb buttons the extreme right hand one. If you want to go back in a menu and preview a previous choice you can hit backspace or you can hit dot 1 with the spacebar or on the thumb buttons the left hand side one closest to the center moves you back one. To completely exit out of a menu you could use the left hand thumb button on the extreme left hand side or you can hit the escape button which is dot 7 or E with space also exits. If you’re in a menu and E with space is not exiting properly you can always use Z plus space which will take you back to the main menu. Also at any point if you’re in a menu and you want to retreat back to the main menu hitting dots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 automatically takes you back to the main. Description: End of video.
