Narrator: Hi my name is Ryan. This module is called Using ActiveSync with Windows Vista. Microsoft ActiveSync allows you to connect your PAC Mate and your computer together so that you can transfer files from one to the other. I have a USB cable plugged into the back of the PAC Mate and I知 now going to plug in the other end into my computer. Microsoft Windows comes up and says mobile device now connected. So now that my PAC Mate痴 connected to my computer I want to transfer files from my computer onto my PAC Mate, to do that I知 going to open the start menu and go to my documents. Now that I知 in my documents I知 just going to use my down arrow key to find a file that I want to transfer to my PAC Mate. So let痴 take that folder and I知 going to press control C to copy it. Now I want to open windows explorer so I知 going to press the windows key and the letter E. So windows explorer opened up and now it gives me a list of the drives I have on my laptop. With the PAC Mate connected there痴 going to be an icon called pocket PC. There is the pocket PC so I知 going to press enter to open that up and it says not selected one of one so I知 going to hit my down arrow to select that folder. When it says backslash that just tells me that that痴 the root directory on the PAC Mate. So I知 going to press enter to go into the flash memory, now I want to find my documents folder. So I知 going to type a letter M and there it is so now I can press enter to open it. Now I know that there is a personal folder in the my documents folder so I知 going to press P for personal and press enter to open it. Now I can hit control V to paste the file I copied earlier and it will move it to my PAC Mate. To verify that it痴 there I知 going to read the current line by pressing the caps lock and the up arrow. There it is. This concludes this module on using ActiveSync with Windows Vista.
